Hi,
I faithfully read AskWoody missives. Thanks for this great website and the people who work here!
Last night I fell asleep at my laptop. When I woke up all keys clicked but do not function. The cursor still works. (I have a Lenovo and use the little button to move the cursor). I looked on Microsoft for a solution. I tried a couple of them (pressing shift 5 times, also pressing 2 keys at the same time) to no avail. I am hoping that in my sleep my fingers did something on the computer that isn’t too hard to reverse.
Full disclosure: I must confess I am still in Windows 7 on 2 older Lenovo x201’s. I know they are out of Windows support so I don’t need to be reminded. I take great care of them and am super careful about how I use the internet. I I did get a Windows 10 computer that developed a problem and took it to our IT department, which is excellent, 4 times, to no avail. Then I reverted, for the time being, to my Windows 7 computers (yes, IT know about the Windows 7 machines and are bemused, but okay with it for the time being).
Thanks for any help with the clicking keys!
