I would like advice about hardware I plan on purchasing.

My days of building my own PC are past.  I will get new PC with Windows 11 preloaded.  I plan on both this new Windows 11 PC and my current Windows 10 PC to be running separately but using the same mouse, keyboard, and monitor thru a KVM switch.  I also have several external drives and devices I want to share between the PCs.

I have never used or purchased a KVM switch, so I would appreciate some beginner’s advice.

Also, I looking at an i7 processor line and not sure which generation is the best bang for the buck.  I like speed and multi-tasking, but I’m not a gamer.

    Thanks in advance.

    HTH, Dana:))

Black Box and Kramer have the PRO market blanketed.  They use them at the State Department and at the Media Center at the US Senate,  and both passed muster with their overly cautious IT people.
