Previously I could advance a video using the mouse in Adobe Flash Player if I wanted to skip the first few minutes. Starting yesterday I can no longer advance the video at all. I have the current version of Adobe Flash Player. How can I correct this? Thanks in advance.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerFebruary 6, 2012 at 8:00 pm #1318258I have IE 8 and Mozilla Firebird and both respond in the same manner. Is there a setting I should change?
Type %APPDATA%MozillaFirefoxProfiles in the start menu search box & press enter. Delete the file that appears.
Firefox must be closed to do this. If you have many bookmarks save them first. -

http://www.amazingfacts.org/television/central-study-hour.aspxWorks here but rather slowly in Firefox 10.0. Do you use ‘NoScript’ ? if so, allow it temporarily.

AskWoody LoungerFebruary 9, 2012 at 2:49 am #1318547I frequently receive Streaming Video from sites that transmit in Adobe Flash format. I have noticed that the creator of the video seems to have some control of how the location slider is to be used. For instance:
If I am watching a live video presentation, the slider is alway placed on the right side of the screen and can’t be moved.
Secondly, if I am watching an archived video the slider may or may not be usuable. If its not usuable, the slider appears on the left side of the video screen as it would normally and I can still move the slider with the mouse but it has no effect on the video playing.
It is my opinion that this is done to stop the viewer from fast forwarding thru commercials. But I do find it very irratating when I need to return to a long archived video that I may want to watch in several segments and must watch the whole thing over again.
Not sure if this is what your experencing or not, but it’s some food for thought.

That is exactly what I’m experiencing and I cannot find a quick fix.
