It fixes a bug that can cause crashes and adds additional support for content created with Flash CS3 Professional

I installed the update, but in my Add/Remove, it shows only the Adobe Player ActiveX. I went to the Adobe site to check to make sure I do have the latest – which I do.
Am I supposed to have both listed – the ActiveX AND the FlashPlayer 9?

There are 2 versions of the Flash player for Windows. The ActiveX version is for use by IE and the other version for use by non-IE browsers. When you visit the link in my original post it offers you the version based on the browser you are currently using.

If you only use IE then you only need to have the ActiveX version installed.

Good! On some of the other Forum websites that I frequent, the various discussions are that the user MUST have BOTH to be listed (using IE7 only). There was also mention that the ActiveX plus the regular FlashPlayer plus the Shockwave Player should all be listed! I have the new updated ActiveX and the Shockwave Player listed…and Adobe Reader 8 (which is another animal altogether) evilgrin.
Why do people want to confuse the general population with conflicting replies? shrug
Thanks for the clarification, do apprecfiate it very much.
