Adobe and new window (ie 6)

I would like adobe pdf files to open in a new window when I click on a pdf file on a web page. Can this be done and how.

You want it to open in (1) a new Internet Explorer window or (2) a separate Adobe Acrobat [Reader] window?

(1) Use Shift-Click or right-click-Open-in-New-Window

(2) In Acrobat, under File, Preferences, General, clear the Web Browser Integration checkbox. (I use Acrobat Business Tools 4.0; your menus may differ from mine).
