I like to keep my system volume control on 100%. Windows Media Player has it’s own volume control that remains at the setting last used. This works very well. If I need to tweak the volume up or down in WMP, it’s easily done.

MS Edge, on the other hand, blasts any video you open at 100%. Including those stupid self-playing video advertisements we all hate.

Is there any way I could set Edge to open all videos at 30% and then increase volume from there if needed? (Without having to constantly change the system volume.)

Thanks for your help and time.

Sounds like you might have a subwoofer? While you’re waiting for a software solution, have a look at a physical desktop controller, something like this. I use one which came with a cheap sound system, and almost never need to tweak sound software.

Try right clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray and click on “open volume mixer” You should see a couple of volume controls. See of one is set too loud.
