Can I add a hotmail or yahoo mail account to my outlook profile so that I can retrieve e-mail into outlook?

yahoo, yes. check their FAQ pages for the server names to use. word of warning – yahoo is a “pop before smtp” server and you need to check mail before sending.

hotmail, not really, unless using outlook 2002 (xp). you can use a utility, hot2pop, or make a folder home page using the hotmail sign in page, but it’s not the same.
