The company I work for would like to add a legal disclaimer, which cannot be altered in any way by the user, to all outgoing messages . Can this be done through Outlook or Exchange 5.5? I know we could add a custom message form to the organizational form library, but how could I prevent a user from deleting the disclaimer?

Anything you can suggest to point me in the right direction will be much appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Kathy

      Hello,

This probably isn’t high-tech enough, but we typed our disclaimer and then made it the default signature, so that when a user creates an email, the disclaimer is there.

Signatures sound good, but our lawyers want it so the user can’t change it or delete it. Never the easy way… wink

        Thanks,
        Kathy

do it through exchange server – the small business resource kit includes a dll you can use or many content scanner utilities also do it, with additional features.

I finally found a reference to the IMS Extension on the BackOffice Resource Kit. We will check this one out, too.

        Thanks for your help!

        Maryj,

It seems that our company wants to do the same thing. Could you please be more specific with “Small Business Resource Kit” and the .dll, or the “BackOffice Resource Kit”? How’s this for timing.

You can use BBCodes to format your content.
