And, what prevents you from doing this?

it is time consuming to do it manually for each paragraph. i am looking for easy way to do it.

You can do it with Find and Replace. First, type in and format the first instance the way you want it, then copy all of it including the paragraph marks before and at the end of the new statement. (Click the ¶ button to see it if you haven’t already done so.)

Now open the F&R dialog (Ctrl-H) and click the More>>> button. In the Find what box, type ^p (or use the Special pulldown to choose “Paragraph mark”). In the Replace with box, type ^c (or use the Special pulldown to choose “Clipboard Contents”). Click Replace All.

This will replace every paragraph mark (the ¶) with a paragraph mark and the new statement. If you want the statement to be part of the paragraph, use a newline (Shift Return) instead of Return at the end of the 1st paragraph, and then use ^l in the find what box.

        thanks Eric,

it works but i am struggling with the appearance of the added statement with the footer line statement. i did exactly what you said after i added the statement underneath the paragraph, but when i apply it to all paragraph it coincide with footer line although i didn’t highlight the footer line part.

Please explain what you mean by “it coincides with footer line?” Do you mean it was added to the footer line paragraph? Do you mean footer? or foot note?

        greeting,

when you click replace it add the new statement to the footer section of each page, how to prevent it from doing that.

      dubdub
You can edit the footer directly to remove the statement after search and replace has put it there.

If you don’t have lots of sections in your document then you may only have to do this to one footer to change them all.
