ACK! 3rd Party theme problem

I think I f***** up. I saw this online: 50 Best Windows 8.1 Themes

So I downloaded/installed the ‘patcher’. Oops! I decided that I don’t like Areo Glass. In fact, I hate it. Say I open Notepad half screen, if I drag the window it stutters (looks like a bad pointer trail). And now when I right click on anything and pull properties, I get an error popup.

I thought I had the problem fixed, then had to reboot and it’s back. I’ve got Glass and I don’t want it. I went to the Control Panel and uninstalled the patcher, didn’t fix the problem. :confused:

Any help greatly appreciated.

Run the patcher and click Restore?

Check to see if the system made a restore point prior to installing the program. If so, use it…

The last restore point before installing that theme is May 23. That’s far enough back that it’ll wipe out several programs and Windows Updates. I tried running sfc/ scannow from an elevated command prompt. It says there are errors but can’t fix them. I also ran Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and it too couldn’t fix the problem.
