We have a number of legacy AT&T email addresses that we check from time to time.

In order to log in we have to go online and:

    • Go to enter currently.com, then
    • Select Mail,
    • Enter our email address and password,
    • Get our authentication security code via a cell phone, and
    • Enter the code and click Submit to sign in.

Outlook 2021 does not support the security code step as outlined above.

Is there an alternative to Outlook that is compatible with the AT&T login process?

I have an old AT&T email account and use Outlook 2019 so your Outlook 2021 should support the security code login process. Setting Outlook to download the AT&T emails and use the security code is different that my other email account setup in Outlook. AT&T has a separate web page you go to during the setup process to get their generated code that allows access to the account.  Not sure I remember all the steps and that web page address.

Call AT&T support have have one of their techs walk you thru the process live.

Seems you need a secure mail key.

      Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with my AT&T email account, and I need some help to unlock it. My email address is “xxx_-faisal-_xxx@att.net”, which I created over 20 years ago. Recently, I tried to log in but received the following error message: “Password may be compromised. To keep your information safe, please reset your password. Care code: 203.4 [FL001].”

I followed the password reset steps on AT&T’s website, but I am unable to proceed because the system is asking for a postal code for verification, which I do not have. This is because the account was created before postal codes were required for verification, and I have no details regarding the postal code.
I have contacted AT&T support multiple times, but they have insisted that I provide the postal code of my address, which I do not know. This has made it impossible for me to recover my account.

Has anyone here faced a similar issue, or does anyone have advice on how I can resolve this? I would greatly appreciate any tips or assistance that could help me regain access to my account.
If you are able to offer me a solution, I would be happy to send a small token of appreciation for your help.

      Thank you in advance!
      Best regards,

      Faisal Ahmad
