    hello everyone;

    i am trying to REinstall AVG the free edition (i removed it before, long story not quite relevant to this query for help).
    downloaded the exe file, run it and starts ok, but before completing gives me error indicating that file CORE x86,msi doesn’t exist, and if existing i should be able to access it.
    so, put a search in W Explorer and found it (in the location the message says it’s not).
    run installation again with same result.
    downloaded the SPK1 of that msi, and installed.
    no success in new trial of installation.
    any help?
    i am attempting to go online ONLY to safe places (MS, WS lounge here), but although W7 firewall is active, i am running WITHOUT an AV protection, what gives me shivers…………

    TIA

      I have seen similar problems on customers’ computers.

      Sometimes when AVG (or other programs) are uninstalled there are “leftovers” left behind which can cause the kind of error you are seeing.

      Download and run the applicable AVG Remover for your system: http://www.avg.com/us-en/utilities then try to install AVG again.
