Can anyone shed any light on this problem help
I’ve just tried to rebuild a MDB from my Visual SourceSafe, but I get the following error :-

    Error encountered at line 1.
This object was created with a newer version of Microsoft Access than you are currently running.

The change which I assume has caused the problem, is I’ve had to rebuild my laptop, but I’ve applied all the service patches that I can think of, but still I get the error
    – Office XP SP1 + SP2, MDAC 2.7 SP1, JET SP6, plus VB SP5, VSS SP6, IE SP1, etc.
    – I’ve been to the Office Update site, and installed all the patches there as well
Any suggestions, as otherwise I’m stuffed hairout

What file format are you using in Access 2002? If you have Access set to the 2000 file format but the source safe project was created from 2002 format, I suspect it would cause that message. I can’t say for certain because we have been careful not to mix our projects up like that, but it’s a place to check. We use 2002 format for our front end databases and 2000 for the backend, and it drives me nuts trying to keep them straight. shrug
