A user needs to switch an Access file back and forth between 2000 and 97. She has 97 at home. Can she convert an Access 2000 file to Access 97 format and then load it into Access 2000 here at the office without problems developing.

As long as she’s not using special features in Access 2000 (like international languages, or queries as sub forms), she should be able to convert the Acc 2000 db back to Acc 97 fairly easily.

I’m not sure what would happen if she uses a lot of ADO code in the Acc 2000 db. Acc 97 can handle some of it, but might choke on it, too. I’ll let someone who has more experience with ADO VBA answer that.

      HTH,

Thank You. I don’t think there is any specialized code in her file, but I will check.
