When I compact and repair databases on my computer it works fine. But, if I log into a citrix terminal and compact and repair those same databases, a new db is created in the same folder and the old one is left untouched. I have googled this and read that Access is supposed to then rename the new db and delete the old one. Several posts I read in other forums suggested the user didn’t have delete permissions on the folder. But, I have tried this with two different databases that work correctly on my regular laptop connected to the network and it works fine. The problem seems to be in Citrix.
Anyone heard of this issue before? I have been searching the citrix forums and haven’t found an answer yet. I will continue searching, but I am hoping one of you has heard of this and can tell me if this is fixable.
