    Access 2000 and Citrix Questions?
    a2k (9.0.3821) SR-1 Jet 4.0 Citrix MeteFrame

On a traditional client workstation and server configuration, I put the backend.mdb on the server and the frontend.mdb on each client C Drive.

Each client is working with his or her own copy of the frontend.mdb

How do I accomplish the same concept on a Citrix server?

Thin clients has have no local C drive, is there a way to setup a virtual C drive for each Access client on the server?

    Thank, John

Where are all the Access 2000 and Citrix users?

To answer my own question there is a must read article in Pinnacle, Smart Access February 2003 Issue that talks to the issue of migrating Access to Citrix platform.

One of my clients has setup their Citrix so that each person logging in has a ‘user’ folder on the server. All of the front-end databases are then stored in each user’s folder.

A Visual Basic form is launched with a listing of the applications they have rights for.

When the user makes a choice, the ‘local’ front end is launced.

I wasn’t involved in this part of the project, so I’m not sure how they actually accomplished this.
