9000003 Blocking Copilot in Microsoft 365 (easy one – don’t the extra license)
In order to utilize Copilot inside of Microsoft 365 you must purchase licenses for your firm. At the present time you must have Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 licenses and purchase a minimum of 300 licenses at $30 per user.
At some point in the future those with Microsoft 365 Business Premium may be offered Copilot licenses for an additional fee.

Maybe this is not called “Copilot,” but is there an option to turn off any features in Office/Word that use ai.exe – “Artificial Intelligence (AI) Host for the Microsoft® Windows® Operating System and Platform x64.”?
This is already appearing in Task Manager when I run Word 2019. This file is discussed at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/office16-aiexe/ecab05bf-3910-4810-ba45-0c44a94071ee
But the only suggestion I’ve noticed so far is to manually delete or rename the file(s), and then they will be restored at the next Office update.
