When an Excel worksheet is split into 4 pieces, currently navigation in any direction affects 2 of the pieces. Is there a way to make navigation affect only one piece at a time? Apparently in Lotus you could choose whether or not you wanted to synchronize the 4 split panes, so any one pane could be viewed totally independent of the other three.

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Kathy

Instead of using panes, why not create 4 windows:
Window – New window. Then size each window the size you want. They don’t even have to have the same size ratios. They are all “independent” views.

        Steve,
That’s a good workaround. Not “just like Lotus” but perhaps they can live with it. Thanks for your help!
