Why do you need an install program?

      You download a ZIP file,
which unZips to a folder Bryce5FreeVersionPC
which itself contains three more folders and 13 files, including Bryce5.exe

      Have you tried running this?

      John

PS Are you worried that the program should have been called Bruce? evilgrin

Sorry John, my message was/has confused. I was trying to illustrate that there are no entries or dll’s etc installed on the system.

Yes I can run the program, but it loads in full screen mode and I cannot exit, it looks good for the real good graphic experts.

I’m still puzzled because there are lots of DLLs there…

I guess what I am trying to say is that I don’t believe there is an install to the registry, the program runs from the exe file.

I agree that their way of doing things harks back to the way it used to be done in the old days of DOS, but the advantage is that to get rid of the program you simply delete the top-level folder (which you may have put in Program Files, perhaps). No entry in Add/Remove Programs, and no registry entries to worry about!

And, presumably, you can run it off a USB flash drive on any machine without having to install anything, so can use it without having administrator rights.

One previous mention, seemed enthusiastic: Bryce 5.0 *Free*
