After mistakenly upgrading to 24H2 I noticed that Explorer links to five NAS drives were X-out. Try as I might (with inadequate knowledge) I couldn’t re-map or otherwise regain access to the storage.

Undid the 24H2 upgrade and the NAS access is magically restored.

    What price progress, Microsoft?

What brand? You probably need to enable smb v2 on the nas or reenable smb 1 on the os

Brand? NAS units are WD MyCloud and MyCloud Ultra.
        Computer is LG Gram (laptop).

NAS units were linked via local network as mapped drives.

I must confess ignorance of “smb v2” or “smb 1” as mentioned. This access issue was resolved – at least for the time being – by backdating W11 to prior state. Once I did that everything was golden again; Poof-Magic! But I’m guessing that eventually I’ll face this again when lord god Microsoft forces bumping OS to next level.

Truth here is that I probably succeeded is linking the NAS boxes through a liberal dose of good old Dumb Luck.

Thanks Susan and Beaner Bob for your kind attention and comments. My original post was mainly just to cast forth an alert about this odd happenstance.

I also knowingly upgraded to 24H2 on all the PCs (2) on my home network and I too lost access to my Seagate NAS in Explore on my main system but NOT when accessing it using its IP address through FireFox.  AND the other PC on the network has no trouble accessing the NAS running the same Windows level, and what is really confusing/frustration the other user/profile on my main PC can also access the NAS with no problem.  To recap… one user profile cannot access the NAS without using its IP address, while all the other profiles have no problems.  SMB1 is installed.
