    I just restored a backup, and here’s what I’ve got:

    It is Windows 23H2 (was running 24H2);

    I am logged into a local account;

    It has Quick Launch!

    If I use neither Skype nor OneDrive, and I only have one machine at one location, will I really gain anything by switching to a Microsoft Account?ย  Of course, I do not want to lose access to my Microsoft 365 Office apps.ย  Also, unless I am mistaken, if I just upgrade to 24H2 without paying attention I will (again) lose Quick Launch, won’t I? Or can I keep the QL if I keep the local account?

    Since I am kind of happy where I am, do I need 24H2?ย  If so, is there a way to keep everything I have now in place and still move to 24h2?

    Oh my…

      You do not need to use an MS account to login to Windows.
      You can use O365 with a local Windows account, but you need to login to O365 with your MS account.

      Don’t know about QL.

      cheers, Paul

      p.s. use GRC InControl if you want to stay on 23H2
