There is a registry tweak to make Windows show the taskbar icons on the right of the taskbar in multiple rows of 2 or 3 rather just 1 row. That tweak has stopped working in 22H2. The icons on the right show in a single row. Any ideas?

StartAllBack to fix all Windows 11 deal-breaking UI issues
With 22H2 many of the registry keys that worked in the prior version won’t work. Using a third party app that keeps itself up to date is wiser.

AskWoody PlusJuly 29, 2023 at 2:19 pm #2576598I don’t want to make the taskbar wider. I want to be able to have it be only one row of apps on the bar but allow 2 or 3 rows of system taskbar icons on the right side. That was possible in Win11 before 22H2 with a regedit tweak as described here and in other places. It worked perfectly. As of installing 22H2 the tweak is ignored. The value is still in place in the registry as it should be, but the multiple rows no longer exist.

I am resigned to the fact that the registry tweak no longer works.
And, after a few tries, I am officially a convert to StartAllBack. By using it and changing the icon size to “small” and icon margins to “extra small”, I get the best of both worlds by having plenty of room on the taskbar despite only one row of system icons to the right.
Thanks to those who helped by responding.
Cheers
