I’ve got a workbook with several paste links and vlookup formulas to a series of other workbooks (65 in all). Somehow all of the links and formulas are now pointing to another folder other than the one the files are in.
    1. How can this happen? 2. Besides copy and paste to replace the foler in the formlas, is there a quicker way. I tried ‘Edit Replace’ and it did not work.
The new folder name is long and was truncated in the formulas.

Try pressing Edit…Links…Change Source and then pointing to the correct source.

      Good Luck

Thanks for the reply. There are about 65 links.. is there a way to automate this process?
Any idea on how this could happen in the first place?

Edit and replace will work in formulas. What didn’t work?

You can also do changes in VB of formulas by working with a cells “formula” property.
Hyperlinks (if any) can be changed by working with the Hyperlink object.

Some causes might be saving a linked file to a new location, while other file is open. Moving the files that are linked, in hyperlinks having a relative reference and then moving the “calling” file.
