Two More Years of Critical Security Patches for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

Dear 0patch friends,

Is your organization still using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 with Extended Security Updates?

Microsoft’s Extended Security Updates, the official patches for these Windows versions, are terminating in January 2023. There will be no security patches for them after that date, and running these systems will become increasingly risky — which is where 0patch comes in.

We have decided to keep providing security patches for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for critical vulnerabilities that are likely to get exploited, and will be happy to keep you secured for a fraction of what you had paid for Extended Security Updates so far.

Yes, the dream finally becomes a reality.  This will help a lot of businesses as well as governments and some individuals as well.  This will end up having Windows 7 to be supported for almost as long as Windows 10 which is scheduled for an end date of support in October 2025.  This is especially useful to the many businesses, governments and some individuals who need Windows 7 to operate their machines and have expensive software licenses that would require a big and expensive update for either Windows 10 or now Windows 11.  This is great news.  Thank you for the update; it is greatly appreciated.
