What is OneDrive Personal Vault, and should you use it?
ONEDRIVE
By Lance Whitney
Personal Vault offers an extra layer of security for sensitive or confidential files stored in OneDrive. Here’s why and how I use it.
I use Microsoft’s OneDrive. I know some people find fault with it, partly because it doesn’t always work properly and partly because it requires an intrusive Microsoft account. But as someone who has to juggle multiple computers and mobile devices, I rely on OneDrive not just for backing up my files but also for syncing them across all my devices.
Because my documents, photos, and other important files are housed in OneDrive, I need a way to secure them from unwanted access.

Better and safer file sharing in OneDrive
ONEDRIVE
By Peter Deegan
I often use OneDrive to share photos, videos, and files from a trip or event with others who were there — or those who wish they had been!
OneDrive has many options for people to edit, caption, and comment on photos and to play videos directly from their browser.
Sharing photos, videos, and other files via cloud storage is a lot easier than using email, instant messaging, or the old “sneakernet” with a USB drive (quelle horreur!).

By Lance Whitney
Sometimes OneDrive fails to properly sync your files. Here’s how to deal with these annoying issues.
I use Microsoft OneDrive to back up and sync my documents, photos, and other files. For me, it’s still the most seamless way to ensure that my files are not only backed up to the cloud but also synced and accessible across all my computers and mobile devices.
However, OneDrive can be glitchy.

When OneDrive isn’t OneDrive
ONEDRIVE
By Will Fastie
You think you know what you’re talking about, and then reality hits you smack on the nose.
You may recall that I have two OneDrive instances — one belonging to me, my personal Microsoft 365 account, and one belonging to the 365 Business plan we use to run this operation.
I thought they were identical in every respect.
