I upgraded from Win7 to Win10 a week or so before the end of July deadline. Upgrade completed with no issues. However, since then, I have not received any updates including the anniversary update. Should I be concerned?
Also, I note on my system information page that my product number is a 20 digit alpha-numeric rather than the usual 25 digits. Is this normal?

I never got the anniversary update either so I forced the issue. Not hard to do so. Go to your update status page and click the Learn More option and it will take you to the page that will allow you to force the update. 🙂

The AU is being rolled out at a pace which Microsoft is determining. I would not be worried. See post #2 if you want to force the update. Further explanation – Why Your PC Hasn’t Received Windows 10’s Anniversary Update Yet and How to Get It[/url]. Thanks to Rick Corbett for the link in another thread.

Also, note that the product number is not the same as product key.

Wouldn’t you know it? Doesn’t it always happen? Just as soon as I posted my question it downloaded and installed a cumulative update and a couple of others. I won’t worry about the AU for a while. I may consider forcing it later if necessary.

I understand that what I have is a Digital Entitlement (currently known as Digital License). I’m not sure why it is necessary to have a different kind of license.

      Thanks

The different license just makes it easier to upgrade to new Windows 10 versions or reinstall from scratch. You should never have to enter a product key on that PC.
