    I have a Sales report.

It is sorted right now by Sales Rep
The Details includes Items sold and the points given for that sale.
The footer shows the subtotal for that Sales rep.

For some reason I cannot sort it by the total amount of Points so I can list the top seller first.

    I have included screen shots

Can I get some assistance please…

You can only sort by fields in the underlying query, so if the total points is calculated within the report it is not available for sorting.

Thats what I thought. I think I may have asked this question before.

I guess I’ll do the old Access trick. Create a Make-Table macro for the results and then base the report on that.

        Thanks again

You don’t need a MakeTable query, although that is an option. Use a totals query to calculate the total, then join that query to the query used for the report.
