    I received the following from one of our help desk people. Has anyone run into this or does anyone have any ideas on how to solve it? Thanks.

    One of our users is still experiencing the issue of when she launches her Outlook it looks like it didn’t open because it only shows the icon on the taskbar and the window does not display maximized or minimized.

    Troubleshooting:
    Recreating her Outlook User Profile
    Running Microsoft Office Repair Tool
    Changing her Desktop settings and auto hiding her taskbar to see if I could find the minimized window.
    I have done some web research to see if there is some way to manually set the minimized window size but I am having trouble finding a clear answer from Microsoft.

    Work Around:
    I temporarily changed her Outlook shortcut properties to launch the application maximized instead of normal window or minimized since her minimized setting is either displaying the window off the edge of the desktop area or too small to be seen with the human eye.

    Anyone else have any other ideas or suggestions?

      Most Windows applications try to remember their last position. Sometimes this can lead to bad results. Try something like this to reset the position:

      Sub RepositionWindow()
      With ActiveExplorer
      .WindowState = olNormalWindow
      .Top = 0
      .Left = 0
      .Width = 800
      .Height = 600
      End With
      End Sub

      Does it help?

        I’ve forwarded it to our Help Desk person, and am waiting for her response. Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll let you know if it works.
