I’d like to write VBA code to export the selected Outlook Contacts in the active folder to a data file. I’m familiar with VBA, but I’m new to Outlook and its object model. Where do I begin? I see that there are wizards for exporting purposes, but I’d like this to be completely transparent to the user.

    Thanks,

i don’t think the export process per say is accessable from the object model. you’ll need to use ado to control it instead.

Try looking here (http://www.helenfeddema.com/Code Samples.htm[/url]). There’s some good codes to get you started.

i give up smile i think the url may never be clickable. if this doesn’t work, append sample.htm in the address bar.
