I know there are hose looking for the Quick Launch Bar. Is there a way to add a second row so that active apps’ icons are separate for those pinned to the taskbar?

If I asked this, my apologies.  Old feeble minds get forgetful.

The built-in Taskbar in Windows 11 does not have that feature. In the order version of Windows, it was possible to keep separate list of Icons in quick launch toolbar. For windows 11, we have to consider workaround like adding 3rd party programs or apps from app store.

In the older version of Windows, it was possible to keep separate list of Icons in quick launch toolbar.

Internet Search for [ quick launch toolbar ]. One result is this, dated May 2024. Does it still work? – I don’t know.

      Would this work?
On the Desktop, create a New Folder.
Into that folder, create all the shortcuts desired.
To use: double-click the folder, then double-click the shortcut.
Yes – more clicks, but functional.
