My Lenovo desktop installed 24H2 recently. I didn’t ask it to, it just notified it need to restart to install some updates. When I rebooted, it was running 24H2. Now Outlook says I have no printers installed. When I click on the down arrow at “No printers installed”, then click on “Add printer”, it brings up “Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners” from ‘Settings’. Both of my printers are listed there. I can click on my HP LaserJet & it shows it as ‘Idle’, so seems to know it’s there – but what to do then? I don’t see anything to “Add” that printer to Outlook.
Going directly to Settings and “Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners” and trying to do a “Print test page” I get a small window that says “The local print spooler is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine”. I rebooted the computer and get the same message. OK, I guess the print spooler isn’t running and that’s why I can’t print from Outlook. What can I try next?
