The thing that told me that the first Trump photograph is a fake is the legend on the T-shirt. It is too straight across. On a real 3-D body, on a real shirt, the lettering would be destorted and uneven across folds in the fabric. Notice the letter S on the fold for example.

As someone who has taken a dendrochronology course, I have to point out that all trees, both deciduous and coniferous, have annular growth rings.

Fortunately, for the 2024 presidential election, there is no need to depend on images, videos, or even questionable/biased “news” reporting.

Instead we can look at the data from the first term of each candidate, normalize that data for the pandemic (where appropriate), and estimate for ourselves how likely that candidate is to perform in his second term in a manner consistent with how he performed during his first term.

For elections with less-well-known candidates, however, this is an important issue with no constitutionally satisfactory “solution”.  Alas, we will have to rely on human intelligence to mitigate the misuse and abuse of artificial intelligence.

Thank you, master Livingston. This was a very helpful, very thoughtfully researched article, as is your custom.

There is no way to stop this.  Laws are only of value if someone is willing to enforce them.  For most people, doing so in court would be prohibitively expensive.

Then there is the problem that the internet is worldwide.  It is nearly impossible to prosecute people in other countries if they are the ones making the deep fakes.

And don’t forget that state actors like China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, etc. might just want to stir up local populations.  What a great way to do that with deep fakes.

I have a huge problem and need to find some very qualified AI Deep Fake forensic service to analyze video files that were composited edited from their original format and produced as evidence in a court case against me by a prosecutor from some dirty cops. I was stopped at a completely different location. They used other video library video files to merge and create a completely altered narrative. I know this to be a fact, but need an expert. Can anyone help me expose this. This is clearly not an isolated event due to the complexity of their choreographed AI Chat GPT output.
