• Open Settings.
• Click on Time & language.
• Click the Date & time tab.
• Turn on the “Hide time and date in the System tray” toggle switch.

I don’t have Windows 11 22H2, but I do have Windows 10 22H2. There’s a way to get rid of the system clock in Windows 10 that may have a similar sequence in Windows 11 to get rid of it.

Try right clicking on the Taskbar and see if a context menu pops up. If it does, see if there’s a listing that says something to the effect of “Taskbar settings”. If that’s there, click it.

In Windows 10, this brings up the settings for the Taskbar, and scrolling about a third to half way down the page will reveal a listing that says “Notification area” that has two items listed in blue colored text below it.

One of those says “Turn system icons on or off”. Clicking that leads to a list of all of the possible system icons that can be shown in the notification area of the Taskbar and sliders to turn them on or off. One of them is simply labeled “Clock”, and clicking it’s slider immediately turns off the clock in the lower right corner of the Taskbar’s notification area.

Take a look and see if you have anything like this with your installation of Windows 11 22H2.

If you find that you have nothing like what I’ve described, then I think that your answer may lie within one of the settings within either Winaero Tweaker or Start 11. There could be a setting within either that will allow either Susan’s solution to be visible (so you can use it) or perhaps something similar to my description above to be visible so you can use it.

I am using StartAllBack (same as Start11 for all practical purposes).
I am also missing the settings Susan mentioned, and it was driving me crazy b/c I knew the setting was there somewhere.
I found it.
Control Panel\Notification Ares\System Icons
A small link at the bottom left “Turn System icons on or off.”
But I cannot change it – it says “Some settings are managed by your System Administrator.”

I think StartAllBack has changed Group Policy settings (if Pro) or Policy settings in the Registry (Home and Pro) so that the User cannot change it through the GUI. I have seen this same notice when I make GP settings to contain some of Microsoft’s overreach.

MS continues to make it harder and harder to find the settings to tweak the “experience.” I hate using third-party tweakers because it makes the User DUMB. You have no idea where you’ve been sabotaged.

Registry setting that “should” turn it off.

Open regedit and go to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

Create a “new” DWORD entry called HideSystrayDateTimeValueName

Set it’s value to 1
