• Digital Entertainment: The new world of professional “digital” sports

    Doug Spindler has a fascinating take on a topic that’s about to hit my home: Esports, events and their infrastructure, and the impact on today’s kids. With an 8-year-old surrounded by Fortniters, I obviously have a lot to learn.

    It’s a given that digital devices and the Internet have changed our society — both for good and for bad. Esports, too, has good and bad sides, but whether it has changed us will probably be debated for a long time. In any case, traditional sports also have lighter and darker sides.

    O brave new world
