• Latest versions of Excel, Word sporadically close files without saving changes

    We have two reports now.

    Excel is 1809 / Build 10827.20150. Had two files open, one stored on my One-Drive setup, the other stored on the corporate server using a VPN connection.  The file open through the VPN connection was updated but not saved.  The other One-Drive file was opened, but hadn’t made any changes.

    Went to exit out of the One-Drive Excel file, and Excel closed down it and the VPN open file, loosing my edits (2 hours worth of reviewing log entries and other mundane regular server checks).

    And an anonymous poster adds:

    Office builds in the 10827.* range have had unexplained application closes for me as well. Excel, Outlook, Word, even OneNote once
