    top-vulnerabilities-2016-1

According to Kelly Hackson Higgins at Dark Reading, a newly published study by security firm Recorded Future says that

Adobe Flash Player provided six of the top 10 vulnerabilities used by exploit kits in 2016… Vulnerabilities in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Windows, and Silverlight rounded out the top 10 vulnerabilities used by exploit kits.

They looked at 141 exploit kits, available from Nov. 16 of last year to Nov. 15 of this year, and found that Flash, IE, Silverlight and Windows provided the largest number of holes for the exploit kits to use.

Of course, this says nothing about the severity of the infections, or the ease with which they can be used or blocked.

You can draw your own conclusions.
