• Windows 10 deleting restore points for unknown reasons

    Here’s a puzzler, from RK:

I have mentioned this in some of my questions on Askwoody.com, and don’t understand why this is happening.

    I am attaching proof.

I have 180 GB set aside for restore points just to be safe.  I have used 5.6 GB.

Windows 10 has been selectively deleting my manual restore points since I got this computer in February.  I don’t even have my initial restore point.  Is there anyway to resolve this?  I started to keep a record for proof.  I have seen a few complaints about this on the internet, but no one has replied to the people.

Please look at the screen shots from today, 5/13/16 and the one from b4 April cum update created on 5/1/16.

    You can see May 1 screen shot shows a manual restore point “after woody’s noel’s . . . .

It is not showing in the list of restore points for today 5/13.  It almost seems it somehow decides once the window is full of restore points it deletes those manual restore points made by me.

In my Win 7 computer I could scroll down a big list of restore points.  I find this very frustrating my restore points disappear.  If something happens I won’t be able to get back to a point where I might want to restore the computer.

This deleting of my restore points has happened many times.

    Please advise, or help.

    Restore Points 1
    Restore Points 2

Confirming, for those of you who may be wondering. This is an off-the-shelf HP computer. It is not dual boot.
