• Having trouble posting a comment here?

    I’ve heard from two readers now who are having problems posting comments on AskWoody. They click to submit the comment, and nothing happens – usually there’s a notice that says the comment is awaiting moderation.

    In the past, both of them have commented. I can’t figure out what’s wrong.

    If any of you are having problems posting comments, could you please post a comment? Ooops. Sorry. Couldn’t pass that one up. Could you send me email?

    This is a pretty bone-stock WordPress site, with just a few mods. I have no idea why comments from some folks won’t “take.” (And, no, I haven’t banned anybody. I’m not even sure it’s possible to ban anybody. I moderate every comment, so banning wouldn’t serve much purpose – and I have no problem at all with anonymous comments.)

    UPDATE: Interesting. A bit of crowdsourced troubleshooting points to the possibility – NOT the likelihood – that posts made with Internet Explorer 11 may not be getting through, while posts made with IE 11 running InPrivate browsing may get through. I have no idea why that would happen.
